December, party time!

December,

which is coming soon, is a great time of year in every way. It is, among other things, synonymous with bright decorations in the streets, gifts, the soft warmth of a crackling wood fire in the fireplace, a frenzied day both in the shops and on the ski slopes, a hike through the snow-covered paths which adorn nature in its finery, or even enjoy the special atmosphere of the Christmas markets.

It is an opportunity to share with family and friends full of unforgettable moments that will remain engraved in hearts and minds.

In the evening, a single desire; something warm and close to the body in a nice atmosphere . We often think of a fondue or a raclette (too bad for the line – this will be on the list of good resolutions for 2022).

The choice of meal is the prelude to a colorful evening as the two proposals are of a convivial and friendly nature. For convenience, we set our sights on the fondue. We will not go into its variants as they are numerous: half and half, with goat cheese, tomato, morels, truffles, Savoy, Italian, Norman, champagne and why not, new for 2021, with cremant from Luxembourg !

Indeed, combining the lightness of bubbles with that of cheese to extract a festive essence promises many passions. Gales’ Crémant Brut Héritage can be a nice surprise. The Crémant Brut Elegance from Desom as well as the Defi from Clos Mon Vieux Moulin , on the other hand, are best served as an aperitif.

For the traditional side of the wines, we will focus on Swiss whites such as l’Aigle, Epesse or the famous fendant. But if you are adventurous, you get off the beaten track , a Pinot Blanc from Maison Gales or a Pinot Gris from Desom or even a Riesling from Clos Mon Vieux Moulin can be a source of inspiration and astonishing discoveries.

Either way, heated discussions are expected. So let yourself be carried away by your cheerful moods and your cellar to ensure you have enough filled glasses for a night to remember .
