Grand Premier Cru and Terroir

The “terroir” wines (lieu-dit) and those classified as Grand Premier Cru come from the best vineyards of the Luxembourg Moselle and represent the top of the range.

Under the PDO, renowned localities are strictly delimited with a maximum yield of 75 hL. Grand Premier Cru are an authorized appellation for certain white wines such as Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris or Riesling. They must also have a yield limited to 75 hL.

Here, the quality of a wine is determined by the terroir, therefore by its origin. The vineyard, low yields, manual selection and management close to nature are just some of the criteria that determine the excellent quality of these wines.
